Peruvian Specifications for a Sport Scholarships
The Scholarship for Qualified Athletes is shown as an economical aid for students, starting in the second semester, that reduces the tuition of the university in exchange of the athletes representation of the university in national and international competitions. To first apply for a scholarship, the student must be officially recognized by the Peruvian Sport Institute (IPD) and the University they wish to apply to.
However, the representation isn’t all what it takes. The student to be considered available for a scholarship must enter the university with high academic ranking or be in the third superior of their school. Also, they must apply with an official sport certificate granted by the IPD.
Universities in Peru seek for new national athlete stars, they seek talent and perseverance in young athletes. However, mere talent isn’t enough to apply for a scholarship, that’s why this guide focuses on informing students about what are the secondary but necessary requirements for young athletes apart from a mark or an achievement.
But let’s not forget the most important requirement, usually universities seek to corrogate scholarships to those young athletes that already have national or international recognition in the sport they practice. They seek for the mark that could allow those athletes to represent the university at an international level, overall the first requirement is to achieve marks or recognitions to show the university why you should receive a scholarship.
Furthermore, there are also some considerations that each student should follow:
Be enrolled with the corresponding semester.
Not failing any subject at the beginning of the cycle.
Not having any disciplinary sanctions in force.
Not having overdue pensions or debt accumulated.
Not owing books or material granted by the university.
The scholarship application must be submitted well in advance of the beginning of the classes.

Moreover, the document requirements specifically for Peru to apply for a scholarship are the following:
